CONDUCT
1.1

Our code of conduct should represent what God teaches!
1.2

Any type of disrespect, cursing or drinking alcohol will not be tolerated. There will be a $10 fine for cursing and must be paid immediately.
1.3

First offense, player will be ejected for the remainder of the evening. Second offense, player will be ejected for the


remainder of the evening and the next two games. Third offense, player will be suspended for the remainder of the season.
1.4

Both teams should gather together before the game and thank God for the opportunity to compete, pray for no injuries,


and to thank him for anything else that is in your heart.
1.5

No arguing with the umpires. Revert to 1.3 for penalties.
1.6

Make sure you have medical insurance. You are playing at your own risk.
1.7

No smoking is permitted, on or around the field. You may only smoke in the parking lot. There is a $10 fine for smoking and must be paid immediately. For the second offense, you will be ejected for the rest of the evening and the fine will be doubled. You must pay the fine before you can play again.

FIELD AND EQUIPMENT
2.1

All teams must work together to line the field and pick-up and return keys.
2.2

All teams must supply their own balls, gloves, catcher's equipment, bats and helmets.
2.3

No slow pitch or modified fast pitch outlawed bats will be permitted.

2.4

Balls must be white, raised stitched, and have a .44 core with a maximum 375 compression.
2.5

No metal spikes are permitted.
2.6

Uniforms are optional.
2.7

Catchers must wear a protective facemask. Other equipment is optional but recommended.

ROSTERS AND LINE UP
3.1
Each team must pay a $500 registration fee. This fee is used to offset the cost of balls, awards and the annual banquet.
3.2
10 players in the field. 12 batters – (1) DH and (2) EH's
3.3
Teams must have a least 8 players to avoid a forfeit. No automatic outs in any scenario.
3.4
Seven players must be from your own roster. You cannot pick-up any players from another roster.
3.4.1
For example:


A line up of 8 means that you need 7 players from your own roster and one player from another team’s roster.


A line up of 10 (maximum) means that you need 7 players from your own roster and 3 from other teams’ rosters.

BATTING
4.1
Batters can go in and out of the game on defense at anytime, as long as the batting order

remains the same.
4.2
All starters can only re-enter the game once and must any number of times, as long as they remain in the same batting order. There is no penalty for playing with only 8 players or starting with 12 players and ending with 8.
4.3
Bunting is allowed.
4.4
There is no limit on foul balls.
4.5
A batter that is hit by a pitch will be awarded first base, as long as the ball did not strike the ground first and the batter makes an

attempt to avoid the pitch.
4.6
If the catcher drops a third strike, the batter is out and cannot try to advance to first base.

BASE RUNNING
5.1
“Hug Rule” – players must avoid contact if a fielder is in your way and does not have the ball. Do not run into the fielder. If the fielder

has the ball, the runner needs to slide, not collide.
5.2
Base runners cannot leave the base until the ball leaves the pitcher's hand.
5.3
You cannot steal a base. Exception, if the catcher or pitcher makes a play on you, you may try to advance to the next base, but only

after you tag up.
5.4
All base runners can advance after tagging up.
5.5
A team can have a courtesy runner for the pitcher at anytime, but must use the player who made the last out.
5.6
A team can have a courtesy runner for an injured player as long as the injured player is identified prior to the game, unless the

injury was caused during the game.
5.7
Infield Fly Rule - is a fair fly ball (not including a line drive nor an attempted bunt) which can be caught by an infielder with ordinary

effort, when first and second, or first, second and third bases are occupied, and there are less than two outs. The batter is

automatically out and the ball is alive. The runners may advance at the risk of the ball being caught, or tag-up and advance after the

ball is touched, the same as on any fly ball.

SLAUGHTER RULE
6.1

A 10 run slaughter rule will be invoked after the losing team bats at least 5 times. This applies to league play only.
6.2

No slaughter rule in tournament play. The losing team can forfeit earlier if they choose.

STANDINGS
7.1

In case of a tie, the final league standings are decided by comparing head to head games - except for first place. To determine first


place, there will be a one-game playoff. If a tie still exists between teams, other than the teams that were tied for first place, a coin


toss will determine the final standings.

TOURNAMENT PLAY
8.1

A player must play at least 6 games during the regular season in order to be eligible for the playoffs/tournament.

GAME TIMES AND TIES
9.1

All games will begin at 6:30pm and 8:00pm. There will be a 30-minute grace period at the beginning of the first game


of the night. If a team does not have the appropriate number of players by 7:00pm, they will forfeit the game.
9.2

Halted Game - No inning shall start after 10:00pm. The remainder of unfinished games, either due to the time limit or in case of a


tie, must be completed before the end of the regular season if the result of the game affects the final regular season standings.


The game will resume at exactly the point of being halted.
9.3

Regulation Game – A regulation game shall be seven innings unless the game is extended because of a tied score.
9.4

Called Game – In case of inclement weather or emergency, a regulation game will be declared if the losing team bats at least 5


times. If less than 5 innings have been completed, the game will be rescheduled and played in its entirety.

HOMERUN DERBY CONTEST
10.1

To be eligible for the Homerun Derby Contest, you must hit at least one homerun, over the fence, during the regular season.

PITCHING
11.1

Shoulders must be square to the plate upon release of the ball and the back swing must be close to the body. The back swing


must begin in a north to south motion from the plate and not east to west
